Jianqiao yinglie chuan

Japanese air-supremacy at the outbreak of the war in the Pacific during World War II was a brutal surprise for Allied forces in the Pacific and south Asia, but it was no surprise all, just brutal reality for the airmen and unsung heroes of the Chinese Air Force, who have been in bloody combat with the air powers of the Imperial Japanese Army and Naval air forces from the summer of 1937, until the end of combat in the summer of 1945. In fact, contrary to popular belief that World War II began with Nazi Germany's blitzkrieg of Poland in 1939; World War II in China began with the full scale invasion by Imperial Japanese forces in July of 1937, with the flashpoint centered around the Marco Polo bridge in Beijing. This movie begins it's real-life drama of the heart-wrenching events of late July - early August 1937, with the outnumbered Chinese Air Force squadrons scrambling from airfields and training bases inland, to the huge war front at China's eastern coastline.

Goldene Nazivampir von Absam 2 - Das Geheimnis von Schloß Kottlitz, Der

If things were up to General Donovan, then the Military Secret Service of the United States would take care of really important things, of which there are plenty in this Autumn of 1942. Let the Waffen-SS search for Atlantis and dance around Germanic Druid Stones – who believes in the occult of “Wunderwaffen” or “miracle weapons” anyway? At least no straightforward American patriot, only pathetic wimps like William Blazkowicz, the only person at the OSS who wears glasses. But then ... can you dare risk to ignore explicit warnings? Secretly shot films? Evidence?
What is really happening in Kottlitz Castle? Who killed Smokey Savallas? What kind of research is the “Ahnenerbe der SS” involved in? Who stole Count Dracula’s bones from a crypt in Wallachia? And where’s the connection between a fanatic SS General, underground laboratories full of German scientists, and a huge pit filled with molten gold?
Questions, questions ... and of all people William Blazkowicz is being smuggled into the Austrian Alps to find answers. But no one could ever imagine in the wildest of dreams what Balzkowicz is going to unearth at Kottlitz Castle.

NaPolA (Before the Fall)

In 1942, Friedrich Weimer's boxing skills get him an appointment to a National Political Academy (NaPolA) - high schools that produce Nazi elite. Over his father's objections, Friedrich enrolls, seeing this as his ticket out of factory life to university and a good salary. During his year in seventh column (fifth form), this innocence is altered as Friedrich encounters hazing, cruelty, death, and the Nazi code. His friendship with Albrecht, the ascetic son of the area's governor, is central to this education; a night in the forest hunting for escaped Russian POWs brings things to a head.

So weit die Füße tragen

As prisoner of war Clemens Forell, a German soldier during WW II, is sentenced to a labour camp in far east Siberia. After four years working in the mines he escapes from the camp (in 1949) and tries to get home to his wife and children. For three years he journeys through Siberia. An odyssey of 14,000 kilometers, set against a backdrop of desolate and inhospitable landscape, beset by danger (from both animals and humans). Constantly battling the worst nature can throw at him, Forell makes his way, step by step towards Persia and the longed-for freedom. Sometimes riding on trains, sometimes by boat, mostly on foot, he never knows if his next step won't be his last. His prosecutor Kamenev is always right behind him, and more than once it seems that Forell is captured again.

How I Won the War

The film features Michael Crawford as the inept World War II commander Earnest Goodbody, with John Lennon and Roy Kinnear as soldiers under his orders. The film is a satire of war; in it, the inept Lieutenant Goodbody's soldiers are ordered to construct a Cricket field behind enemy lines. At one point in the film, the British soldiers overcome a group of German soldiers by whistling the "Colonel Bogey March". Many of the characters in the film are, themselves, satirical in nature; for example Cpl. Gripweed (Lennon), is a fascist, yet the army has no qualms in using him in a war which was intended to fight the spread of fascism. The film is also an attack on the brutality of war; throughout the film, Goodbody's soldiers die one by one (only to be replaced by ghostly, World War I-era soldiers), and by the film's end only one of his men is still alive, the one who refused to fight.

Thinking he's about to die, MacMurray radios back his undying affection for his dog "Piggy." But the radio reception is fuzzy, and it is assumed that he has said "Peggy"--which happens to be the character name of Colbert, who intercepts the message.
